Rating: 4 starsI was really looking forward to the conclusion of Jason and Bax’s story and this didn’t disappoint. I was a bit leery at first because I wasn’t sure how the author was going to pull off Jason hiding his blindness and still competing in bull riding but I think the author did a good job with it. He had a lot of support and other people to help him so while it wasn’t totally realistic, it was realistic enough that I bought into it. I love Bax and Jason together and I love that although Bax worried and wished Jason wouldn’t continue riding, he supported him throughout and always had his back. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. BA Tortuga’s Leading the Blind, Book 7 in the Roughstock Series, along with Blind Ride, which is Book 1 in the series, have a proud place in my top ten all time favorite MM Romance novels. The reason I find these novels irresistible (I’ve read Blind Ride at least four times) is thanks to the passion, commitment, and devotion the MC’s Andy (Bax) and Jason feel for and show one another. Their love is raw and gritty—and it reaches right off the pages and grabs you. As a reader, you experience the love beside them and can’t get enough of it. The hurt/comfort trope is alive and well here, and BA Tortuga lets you truly believe that love saves.Most highly recommended.
